The Early Entry to School Cross Sectoral Placement Committee is seeking expressions of interest to join the committee; from a school principal, an early childhood teacher and a registered psychologist experienced in the identification and education of gifted young children.

The role of the committee is to assess applications for the early entry of gifted children to kindergarten for all schools within the Catholic, Government and Independent sectors in Tasmania.

The chair of the committee welcomes expressions of interest from any principal, early childhood teacher and registered psychologist with knowledge and experience in identifying and working with young gifted children.

Duties of committee members:
The committee meets for approximately half a day in October each year to consider applications for early entry to school in all sectors across Tasmania. Reading all materials associated with the applications is required before the meeting.

Positions on the committee are voluntary with no remuneration involved.

These three positions on the committee are for two years duration.

Expressions of interest are invited from interested early childhood teachers, principals and psychologists working in Government, Catholic or Independent schools and from any registered psychologist who assesses and works with young children.

Personal information provided by applicants in their expression of interest will be used solely for purposes associated with appointments to the Early Entry to School Cross Sectoral Placement Committee.

Interest should be registered by completing the attached form and forwarding it to the Chair of the committee by close of business, Monday 29 August 2016.
