Do you know an exceptional young Tasmanian who would benefit from an extraordinary experience?

This December, the STV Windeward Bound will once again be setting sail from Hobart with twenty Tasmanian youth from refugee and non-refugee backgrounds. Do you know a young person who should be on board? Please share the attached information with them!

This voyage promotes understanding, inclusiveness, and community by bringing together young people of vastly different backgrounds for a ten-day voyage aboard the STV Windeward Bound, and giving them the opportunity to connect and grow with one another in both the short and long term.

All participants must do some fundraising to help offset the costs of this voyage, and will receive guidance if requested. Youth from refugee backgrounds are eligible for a subsidy to cover the majority of their fundraising goal, and will receive assistance in their fundraising from the Migrant Resource Center. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds!

Please note: Participants are required to have enough English language ability to fully understand and respond to safety instructions aboard the ship.

How to apply: Visit www.windewardbound.com.au to register for an application, or email ylc@windewardbound.com.au

The Rotary Connection: This voyage is a working partnership with Rotary Tasmania, and clubs throughout the state will be helping to sponsor participants!
