Lost Voices of Old Hobart Town, Of Sea and Storm Creative Writing Workshops

Intended Audience: Young writers aged 13-18

For the second year in a row, The Story Island Project is working with Festival of Voices and TMAG to host FREE workshops that give young writers the opportunity to write creative pieces to be performed by local personalities at a Festival of Voices event.

Lost Voices of Old Hobart Town: Of Sea and Storm gives participants aged 13–18 the chance to explore Tasmania's maritime history of shipwrecks, specters and sailors and, using resources from TMAG's wonderful Tempest exhibition, write creative pieces that give voice to stories long submerged.

These single-day workshops are being held at TMAG on Saturday 2 July and Sunday 3 July from 10.30 am–3.30 pm, with the performance event at TMAG on Saturday 9 July at 5.30 pm.
