Bicycle Education Programs Sporting Schools Funding

BICYCLE EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Australian primary schools can apply for a grant of up to $3000 per term to provide Bicycle Education Programs during any three terms of a school year through Sporting Schools Funding. https://sportingschools.gov.au/Funding
Sporting Schools is a $100 million Australian Government initiative to get children committed to a lifelong love of sport.

A new Delivery Centre has been established, run by Chris MacGregor from the Bicycle Education Unit, to conduct programs in schools through the newly launched National Let's Ride Program. http://www.letsride.com.au/

Let's Ride is a national junior riding program designed by Cycling Australia CA to teach students to ride safely by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence through enjoyable, practical learning experiences.

Schools can elect to run a solo Let's Ride Program with up to 30 students or use the $3000 funding in conjunction with several Bicycle Education programs ..\Bike Ed Brochure.doc;

  • Programs: 1 Let's Ride Program & 2 Bike Ed Programs $750
  • Programs: 1 Let's Ride Program & 3 Bike Ed Programs $1500
  • Programs: 1 Let's Ride Program & 4 Bike Ed Programs $2250
  • Programs: 1 Let's Ride Program & 5 Bike Ed Programs $3000
