The Department of Health and Human Services is launching the Healthy Young People HYP
website. The sixth mission to be released is 'Make Healthy Food the Main Food.' Eating healthy food throughout the day can help young people concentrate and helps regulate mood and behaviour.

There are many ways schools can support everyone at school to make healthy food the main food. Healthy Young People HYP is a set of free resources for secondary school students, teachers and school staff, youth workers and anyone who works with young people with great information about healthy food. HYP also has free resources on drinking enough water, adequate sleep, physical activity, physical activity and less sedentary time.

It includes teaching resources that link to the Australian curriculum. To see the Make Healthy Food the Main Food resource visit: www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/mwew/hyp/healthy_eating
