This workshop will focus on the "directional" drawing technique Lucienne has developed over the past 6 years using 9B pencils on drafting film. She sees her process as being closer to sculpture than drawing, and will explain how a spectrum of tones and a sense of 3 dimensionality can be achieved.

Lucienne Rickard has been living and practicing as an artist in Hobart since 2002. She completed her PhD in Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania in 2006.

To see Lucienne's remarkable work, see www.beavergalleries.com.au/rickard.htm and www.artsy.net/artist/lucienne-rickard

This workshop is part of the 'Down and Dirty' contemporary art professional enrichment series. Knock off work, grab a glass of wine, and spend an evening getting to know a living artist at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG)! Adults-only, hands-on sessions for any educator wanting to develop their creative side. No experience necessary
