Date: Terms 1-4, 2016
Location: Leven Canyon Regional Reserve

Intended Audience: Secondary Schools - North West Coast

During the day we will explore the characteristics of Tasmanian forest types and use a range of ecological sampling techniques to collect data on the wet eucalypt forest at the Reserve. We will consider the processes that lead to the formation of the canyon, before walking to the lower and then higher Cruickshanks Lookout via a set of 697 steps.

The students will be in two groups, each with an FEF teacher, and will both complete all the activities during the day. They will be working in the same area and be together over lunch.

Bring two classes - each will have an experienced FEF teacher for the day and you can share the transport costs!
