This week is National Carers Week!

This is a very important week for us to show our appreciation and recognition of the extraordinary efforts that our colleagues and students make in their caring roles.

Across DoE, we know that many of our staff and students will be responsible for caring for a family member or a friend at some point in their life.

In order to show appreciation and generate awareness of carers, we are asking all schools and business units across DoE to get involved in National Carers Week this year.
You can organise a 'Take a Break' event, this could be a morning tea, afternoon tea, guest speaker presentation, school assembly celebration or Carers Song performance.

We have also recently published our new brochures,
Support for Students with Carers Responsibilities and Support for Employees with Carer Responsibilities,

We've got all the information you need to get involved this Carers Week.
