New Tasmanian applications extended for Youth Leadership Challenge

Intended Audience: 15 - 18 Year old Tasmanian's from Refugee Backgrounds

The Youth Leadership Challenge is a ten-day youth development voyage aboard STV Windeward Bound involving 20 Tasmanian youth aged 15 to 18 -- ten positive Tasmanian mentors, and ten New Tasmanians from refugee backgrounds.

New Tasmanian residents aged 15 – 18 who come from refugee backgrounds can participate FREE OF CHARGE. If you have any students or clients that fit this description and would benefit from this experience, please share the attached flyer and application with them.

Please note that for safety reasons, there is a minimum language requirement of being able to understand and respond to basic instructions from the ship's crew. If you are unsure whether your student or client meets this requirement, please contact us for a chat.

How to apply:
New Tasmanian applications must be completed in full, and returned in person to the Migrant Resource Centre at Level 2, 116 Bathurst Street in Hobart. If the applicant is unable to drop the application off in person, please contact Tiki at tcurnow@mrchobart.org.au or 6234 9138.
