Some countries, such as Denmark, have long seen the benefits of "Nature Kindergartens"commonly referred to in other parts of the world as "Forest Schools"- places where children's learning experiences and nature are inextricably intertwined.

Join David Gilkes as he shares with us photos and stories from his May trip to Denmark, as well as some of the key aspects of the Danish Early Years Curriculum. David was a recipient of a 2014 National Excellence in Teaching Award which enabled him to undertake this Forest Schools professional development.
