Junction events for Primary School students

Junction loves seeing school groups interact with live art and music in unusual locations around Launceston during the Festival. Please see the Junction program picks below.

Attached is the Booking Form for primary school itineraries that contain age appropriate options.
Thursday is filling quickly, see if you can come on Friday.
The Junc Yard
There is no better place to start than in the Festival's very own dedicated children and family zone. In the Junc Yard you can take part in walking adventures, art workshops, shadow photos, story telling and even learning new languages.

Shadow Photo Booth
Who doesn't like dressing up for photos?
Dress up in costumes and props and strike a pose behind a rear projection screen with your friends. A director assists you with your image composition and then photographs your silhouette with your own phone or camera, capturing a memorable portrait to take home.

Art 'n' About
How cool is a mobile art gallery?
ARTSKOOL, Melanie Fidler and Paul Eggins, bring a unique gallery experience and art workshops to your doorstep. Keep your eyes peeled for, Art 'n' About, an art show on wheels.

Adventures in Sightlessness
Wow! What a fascinating way for children to discover Launceston.
Adventures for Kids
An adventure specially designed for kids in The Junc Yard using a rope guide-rail to create a path around Civic Square's buildings and mini-forests. Travelling one at a time along the line, with guides to watch out for you, your challenge is to discover the world around you by focusing on listening, touching and sensing.

Rock & Rhyme
Perfect for the littlies!
Rock & Rhyme is an interactive performance for carers and children.
Each day enjoy a different selection of songs and languages that celebrate well-loved songs and rhymes in English alongside the diverse languages of recent refugees and new migrants to our Launceston community.
