Date: July 2015          RSVP: Entries close May 22
Location: Statewide

Intended Audience: Year 9 & 10 Teachers

Produced in partnership with the University of Tasmania, the Australian Maritime College and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, the nextgen Business Team Challenge is an exciting five day immersion into the world of starting your own business. With leading industry experts involved in presenting key topics and giving feedback to the participants, Grade 9 & 10 students will go through the process of starting their own business, from evaluating their creative ideas through to developing a business plan, marketing collateral and pitching it to an expert panel on top of other real world tasks.

The challenge will be held;
- Southern Tasmania: June 1 - 5 at the Sandy Bay Campus,
- North West Tasmania: June 15 - 19 at the Cradle Coast Campus, and
- Northern Tasmania: June 22 - 26 at the Newnham Campus.

There is far more information about the challenge online at, including how the challenge links with the Australian Curriculum and past challenges - and you can even sign up online too. Because of the fantastic support of the partners that are involved, it only costs each team of seven students $160 for all of their resources and lunch on the final day - which means that hundreds of students can benefit from the program. And with a +100 seat lectures to potentially fill on the three University campuses around the state, we've got everything ready for all of the students who want to get involved be impacted by this week.

Please ask any questions that you have to Adam Mostogl ( - because while entries have been strong, there are still limited places available which we'd like to see filled.
