The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is being held at the Lea Scout Camp near Kingston on the weekend of 28-29 March

This camp is a FREE 2 day camp aimed primarily at Grade 10 and possibly Grade 9 students.

The theme of the camp is "How and where do I fit into a team"

Additional sub themes that will be explored include:
  • What is a team
  • Where does an individual fit into a team
  • Acknowledging the value of each team member, their skills and their contribution to team outcomes
  • Understanding the significance of diversity
  • Developing team relationships
  • When to lead and when to follow
The camp is sponsored by Rotary Clubs in Southern Tasmania and is FREE for students. Students will need to be transported to and from the camp but in special circumstances Rotary may be able to assist.

Feedback from students attending the 2014 camp indicated that they had an excellent time in a well-supported environment. They made lots of friends and developed skills around teamwork, problem solving and leadership.

This year the camp will feature programs and challenges from presenters including:
  • Life be in it
  • The Centre for Global learning
  • Greg Irons – Bonarong
  • Daryl Peebles – comedian
  • Scouts Tasmania
Attached is a poster promoting the camp and I would appreciate you displaying this in a prominent area for your grade 10 and grade 9 students.

Students can make application online.

Applications will need to be received no later than 22 March and we can only accommodate 30 students.
