Date: Term 4 2014
Location: National Forest Learning Centre - Hobart

Intended Audience: Primary schools - Hobart and South

Come along for a morning of activities in our Learning Centre followed by a trip to the Waterworks Reserve to explore the forest first hand. Investigate a typical Tasmanian forest ecosystem, and develop an understanding of the components and links within an ecosystem. Create a whole class giant food web and explore the relationships between producers, consumers and decomposers - and don't forget to check out the microscopes!

We can then move up to the Waterworks where the knowledge from the morning sessions can be used in the wet and dry forest environments around the upper and lower reservoirs.
