Intended Audience: All Tasmanian Educators

Can you imagine teaching in a school with 850 students and only 2 teachers? The students may walk many kms to school each day hoping that today they might be allowed in to learn.

You can help make a difference by organising a morning tea or other staff function on World Teacher's Day and celebrating your wonderful profession and relatively great resources along with the professional support you enjoy as a teacher in Australia.

Ask everyone to make a contribution and make a donation to the Trust. In doing so you can contribute towards a sustainable fund for training teachers in Tanzania through The Christopher Strong Education Trust, a division of the Launceston-based group "Care for Africa".

In 2013, 14 schools participated. We are hopeful of doubling that this year. Please consider joining us in our quest to make a difference for the teachers and children of Tanzania.

You can download a poster and get further information on our website or contact Jon Hosford at

RSVP by advising by Monday 27 October.
