UTAS/ TATE English Teaching Symposium: 'The Revenant Past'

Intended Audience: English teachers 7-12 and Teachers in training

A two day English Teaching symposium about knowledge, authenticity, experience and history of place in literature. To be held at Port Arthur World Heritage Site, The Old Asylum, November 14-15, 2014.

This symposium has direct links to a number of aspects of the Australian Curriculum, particularly the approaches of the English "literature" strand.

Symposium fee includes: lectures/workshops and educational presentations, 2 day pass to Port Arthur (Ghost Tour, Harbour Cruise, Walking Tours), Symposium Dinner (gourmet barbeque), morning tea, lunch.

Teachers: $205 + cost of accommodation. (accommodation to be booked and paid for separately if required, through individual accommodation providers.)
