Evolving practices, evolving partnerships and evolving possibilities will be the themes explored during Evolve, the three day Drama Australia National Conference being staged in Hobart from 2 – 4 October 2014. The conference program has been released and early bird deals are now available at

The Evolve conference brings together innovative drama educators, theatre makers, arts academics and curriculum writers to offer more than 40 presentations and workshops on new research, practice and ideas. Session highlights include keynotes by internationally renowned applied theatre expert Associate Professor Peter O'Connor from the University of Auckland and Dr Anne Harris, author of The Creative Turn, from Monash University.

In addition to practical drama teaching workshops, there will be sessions showcasing emerging opportunities for drama in the digital age, new perspectives on creativity in the Australian Curriculum, as well as opportunities for global education and inclusive practices in the teaching of the arts. There will also be presentations by our own outstanding Tasmanian educators.
