My Story in Pictures and Words is an opportunity for Tasmanian children aged five to twelve to create an autobiographical picture book, using original illustrations and words to tell a true story about themselves or their family.

The competition will be judged by Hobart-based illustrator and author Peter Gouldthorpe, and prizes awarded in two categories: five to eight years and nine to twelve years. Prizes include cash, vouchers for art supplies, tickets to Betta Milk Family Classics concerts and TSO CDs.

My Story in Pictures and Words is a joint initiative of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Betta Milk, inspired by the Betta Milk Family Classics concert The Peasant Prince, which brings Li Cunxin's best-selling children's book to life with music, big-screen projections and story-telling.
