Nominations close 4 April 2014

Intended Audience: Young people, or people who are working with young people aged 16- 21

The National Scholarship Program celebrates the talents and strengths of young people from the Australian community who exhibit extraordinary promise but who lack the personal support networks and resources that will allow them to fulfil that potential.

The initiative developed by Father Chris Riley, CEO and founder of Youth Off The Streets, provides financial, personal support and mentoring for young people to pursue their educational dreams in any field, including (but not limited to): academic skills, visual or performing arts; sport; trade skills; and music.

This year, over 20 young people aged between 16 and 21 throughout Australia will be awarded scholarships. Scholarship recipients will receive mentoring and funding of up to $6000 for two years to help them with their education and training. Each recipient and their guest will be brought to Sydney to attend a special award ceremony in September.
