We had a great season of climbing in our first term of opening and now we can promise a thrilling new year for Tasmania’s school community. We hope to see more young climbers coming through our doors soon.

Our new school's program
We’ve developed more formalised training delivery in line with Tasmanian school term dates.

Students can now participate in our structured development program. This is a series of 6 classes that can be formulated to complement other internal school programs (such as Enrichment programs). It is our intention to use these sessions to develop students both physically and technically towards more advanced climbing, yet more importantly help them build self confidence, stay healthy and enjoy some new challenges.

The program is available for years 7 through 12. The cost is only $85/PP for the series and will include equipment and coaching. Sessions will run for two hours with the first hour dedicated to coaching lessons followed by an open climbing session. We can formulate sessions for primary students (call to discuss).

Casual visits
School groups are always welcome on a casual-only basis. Rates vary from $12/PP for primary students, $14 for high schools and $15 for college students. We supply harnesses and offer a safety briefing to get students climbing. 12 years is our minimum belay age, so for younger climbers we encourage some additional support. Generally, our mornings are reserved for school groups, but we will welcome classes during our regular operating hours as well.

And for our friends from afar, we will happily structure longer, more involved full and half day sessions to justify the extra traveling.

An open evening for teachers!
We would like to invite Tasmanian school sports, PE and outdoor education teachers for a free session with us.

When: Friday 28 Feb 2014 from 7-9 PM

We'll provide an induction and any equipment you'll need.
