Intended Audience: Teachers and leaders of primary and secondary schools

Due to the popularity of the Purposeful Assessment workshops in 2013, the Australian Council for Educational Research is continuing with PAT Professional Learning seminars in 2014 for teachers and leaders of primary and secondary schools.

This seminar is a guide for teachers and school leaders who wish to develop a better understanding of what their students' Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) results actually mean. From the general principles of developmental assessments to teaching strategies that get the best out of students, this workshop is essential for classroom practitioners who use the PAT suite of assessments.

Sessions 1 and 2 focus on the PAT scales and student data from a general perspective. Sessions 3 and 4 are more classroom-focused and specific to PATReading and PATMaths.
