Date: 7 November 2013           RSVP: 4 November 2013

Intended Audience: Anyone interested in using Technology in Training

Whether the Government continues to roll out the NBN or not, one thing is for certain – training can benefit from the use of high speed internet. Most of us will have access to a high speed connection, whether it be to our home or business, a Trade Training Centre or at the local LINC or Digital Hub. So, what to do with it?

Skills Tasmania E-Learning Unit is running a hands on workshop in November so you can get up to speed with what you need to know.

Hear the nitty gritty technical details of high speed broadband, experience the NBN 'unpacked' and learn about what speeds mean and what you can do with increased bandwidth. Then, be involved in practical demonstrations and hands on workshops.

You will get to hear first-hand what RTOs and businesses are doing to increase access to training through the use of technology. Outcomes from the Skills Tasmania Technology Infrastructure Investment Program – VET will be shared and discussed and you can get some tips on how to open up your possibilities by using technology in training.

Details for the workshop are as follows:
Thursday, 7 November 2013
(10.00am for 10.30am start – 3.30pm)
Deloraine Trade Training Centre
Cost is $25.00pp

Register online by Thursday, 31 October.
