Intended Audience: All English Teachers and teachers of Writing

The Tasmanian Association for the Teaching of English (TATE) Presents:
"Harnessing the Story: Creative Writing for Curious Minds" offers English teachers the opportunity to reignite their creativity by spending an afternoon focussing on the craft of writing; not report writing, not unit writing, not rubric writing: creative writing.

TATE has assembled three proud Tasmanian writers to conduct workshops in which participants will engage not as the teachers of writers, but as writers themselves. Cameron will open the afternoon with a poetry reading and quick writing prompt, after which Danielle will conduct the first workshop session. Following the afternoon tea break, Lian will present her workshop for writers. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions of the authors about their writing processes.
