EV3 Robotics Workshop for Teachers of Digital Technologies

Intended Audience: Tasmanian Teachers interested in Digital Technologies in Years 4 - 10

This workshop introduces the new LEGO Mindstorm EV3 kits. It provides teachers an opportunity for hands-on experiences with robotic building and programming at EV3 beginner level, allowing participants the opportunity to assess the feasibility of integrating these resources into their classroom teaching plans.

This workshop is sponsored by Google Australia as part of its ongoing annual program CS4HS (Computer Science for High School). It is a professional learning workshop endorsed by TASITE and is open to Tasmanian Primary and Secondary School Teachers who are considering introducing robotics to extend students learning experiences.

Attendance at the workshop is free. No prerequisite knowledge in robotics is required.

The workshops will be run in the three campuses of the University of Tasmania with time schedules below.
Hobart: Wednesday, 20/11/2013 from 2pm to 6pm
Launceston : Tuesday, 26/11/2013 from 2pm to 6pm
Burnie: Thursday, 28/11/2013 from 2pm to 6pm
