Teacher Tours of Canberra Cultural Institutions

Intended Audience: Primary and Secondary Teachers

Teachers are invited to participate in a 4 day, 3 night tour of Canberra exploring the education programs and resources of the national cultural instiutions and attractions. Whether teachers are planning an excursion to Canberra or are interested in the resources available to assist in the teaching of civics and citizenship, Australian history, science, art and culture, this tour offers this and more.

Teachers will visit up to 20 attractions that have education programs and resources designed for a range of year levels. Teachers will be provided with resources and will come to understand how these intiutions can assist them on an excursion or in the classroom with paper and online resources. This tour is $450 per teachers from Tasmania for 4 days and 3 nights. Flights, accommodation (twin share, single share can be organised at extra cost), transfers and most meals are covered. This tour is subsidised by the cultural institutions and attractions in Canberra. Attached is an application form and terms and conditions for participation.
