UTas Radio Telescope & Grote Reber Museum Open Day

Discover the amazing world of radio astronomy and find out what radio telescopes do. The UTAS Radio Telescope Observatory will be open to the public with tours of the 26m radio telescope dish, every half hour. The Grote Reber Museum is dedicated to the life and work of Grote Reber, known as the 'father' of radio astronomy.

This fabulous facility overlooking the Coal River will host Slow Food, as well as other fine food stalls from the Coal Valley. There will also be 3D movies and science fun for all the family!
