Turn a Hobby into a Career - Woodturning

Contact: Rosny LINC

Location: Rosny LINC
Date of Event: 5 September 2013

Intended Audience: anyone wishing to learn

Come along and meet Brad Moss and learn about Woodturning. Brad has been turning for over 28 years and produces stunning pieces of furniture and pieces of art in wood. Brad was invited to study with David Ellsworth, one of America's top wood art turners.

The experience and development of Brad's skills has allowed him to enhance his style and technique, allowing him to create unique artwork that has been purchased by Bill Clinton, Pope John Paul II and sold out in his last five solo exhibitions. Brad has also been approached to teach overseas but has opted to teach in Tasmania and hopes that more people will take up this creative form of artwork.

In this session Brad will outline the structure of the three wood turning courses provided by LINC. Provide lesson information and the learning outcome that the students will archive, plus the turned work they will produce. Explain how the LearnXPress wood turning courses are suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to experienced wood turners.

This session commences at 2pm and will run for approximately an hour.
