Do you have a school food production garden (kitchen garden) and need any professional advice or assistance with it? Are you interested in setting up a garden and would like some help with the design or planning process?

Would you like to share your experiences with other schools around Tasmania, in an online community and build links within the State?

Our expert and online VET students can assist you with all aspects of gardening and provide you with information on topics, including: -
  • Garden design, containers and bed rotation
  • Soils, Fertilisers, green manures and organic systems
  • Growing seedlings
  • Pest and weed control and identification of problems
  • Watering systems
  • Compost making
  • Worm farming
  • What to grow and when, from month to month
  • Plant varieties and sources
  • Soil testing and interpretation of results
  • Processing of your produce
