2013 Tasmanian School Human Rights Award: Nominations Open

Intended Audience: All Schools

The Tasmanian Human Rights Week Committee is now taking nominations for Human Rights Awards in nine separate categories including one for schools or school-based activities.

Award winners are selected from those who are actively engaged in the promotion or protection of human rights in Tasmania.

Categories are:-
  • School (sponsored by A Fairer World)
  • Individual
  • Organisation
  • Youth
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD)-focussed activity
  • LGBTI-focussed activity
  • Mental Health-focussed activity (NEW)
  • Sport
  • Angus Downie Print Journalism Award
All Award winners will receive a certificate and $500 at the conferring ceremony during Human Rights Week in Tasmania (3 - 10 December, 2013).

All nominations must be on an official Nomination Form and submitted by 5pm on Monday 30 September 2013.
