Location: Hobart
Date of Event: 14 October 2013          RSVP: 13 October 2013

Intended Audience: We need 1,526 students to help break this record.

Join the Tasmanian Ballet's Company's Guinness World Record attempt to hold the largest ballet class, currently held by the Queensland Ballet - 1,525 participants in May 2011.

The Tasmanian Ballet Company (State Ballet of Tasmania) will attempt to break this record! The children do not need to have any dance experience for this event, just enthusiasm! The venue will be at Tasmania's largest indoor arena, The Derwent Entertainment Centre, on 14 October 2013 between 1.15pm and 2.15pm.

The participants will be drawn from the primary schools and dance schools in Tasmania. We anticipate up to 2,000 primary aged school children to help break the record.

The Tasmanian Ballet Company will be inviting media from TV, Radio and print as this will be a high profile event, with Mr John Xintavelonis as our M.C. The Tasmanian Ballet company is a not for profit entity and relies on sponsorships and grants. The attempt is to raise awareness and to just have a bit of fun!
