Social Justice Competition

Intended Audience: Teachers of Secondary and College Students

Competition: Too many young people and their families struggle to live with dignity.

The Tasmanian Catholic Justice and Peace Commission invites secondary school and college students to submit a written or multimedia entry on the topic, 'Too many young people and their families struggle to live with dignity'. The competition closes on Friday 6 September and the competition winners will be announced at the Tasmanian launch of the Social Justice Statement on the 29 September.

Brief for students:
As a young person what advice would you give to politicians and candidates on how to improve the lives of young people in families experiencing difficult times. These families include: families who live in poverty, are homeless, have special needs, are refugees/asylum seekers or belong to indigenous families.

To enter: write an essay, letter of speech up to 600 words or prepare a PowerPoint or film presentation up to 5 minutes long.
