Intended Audience: All Teachers of English (Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary)

It's that time of year again when your membership of the Tasmanian Association for the Teaching of English (TATE) is due for renewal. Or time to consider joining TATE for the first time?

TATE is a not-for profit membership organisation committed to the on-going professional development of all those interested in English teaching. Our members include educators from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions working in the State, Independent, Catholic and tertiary sectors. TATE provides strong leadership in the area of English teaching, language learning and literacy development. We promote the interests of all English educators in the State.

Membership includes access to publications, professional learning events, up to date news and resources for teaching English in Australia.

An added feature of our new subs' structure is the inclusion of a two year membership option which incorporates a saving of over 9% on the standard rate. Well worth taking up.

Please download the membership form (which includes further details on the benefits of membership):

The membership form should be completed and forwarded with payment to our Executive Officer, Phil Page (

We look forward to having you on board Team TATE!
