This competition is for students Grades 9 - 12. Conducted by the Tasmanian branch of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and the University of Tasmania, it is an excellent introduction to analytical processes.

The Competition is on Friday, the 9th of August, at the Chemistry Labs of the University of Tasmanian - Hobart , Launceston and at centres in the northwest.

This year's competition will have only one aqueous solution of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). This means that there will not be a separate (a), (b) and (c) unknown solution of Sodium Hydroxide, for the three members of each team.

There will be three unknown aqueous solutions of Acetic Acid (CH3COOH), marked - unknown solution (a), (b) and (c), as in past years.

The revised answer sheet reflects the above changes.
