The NBN Virtual School of Emerging Sciences (NVSES) gives Year 10 students with a passion for science a virtual learning experience to nurture their curiosity for new emerging sciences.

The NVSES is a virtual school, connecting students from across Australia in real-time with the NVSES Studio at the John Monash Science School (JMSS) in Melbourne. Students can study up to four units, each for eight weeks, two in Astrophysics and two in Nanoscience. The units are delivered in two 1-hour live interactive sessions per week that students connect to from their home school location. All units are aligned with the Australian National Curriculum.
