An exhibition marking 160 years since the end of convict transportation is coming to Hobart.

The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery has collaborated with the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office to bring the exhibition to Hobart.

Drawing on the riches of both collections, the objects on display will include police batons, a fragment from a convict hulk, handcuffs, leg irons and other relics of the convict system.
