Intended Audience: Professional Development opportunities for people working in VET sector

Many vocational education and training (VET) teachers have moved into teaching as a second career based on their acknowledged workplace performance and an interest in transferring their skills to others. The University of Tasmania's Bachelor of Education (Applied Learning) enables VET teachers to further develop their teaching skills and knowledge, through a fully online course that offers a credit pathway for those with vocational and training qualifications.

Graduates will be eligible for standard teacher registration and therefore able to extend their employment options to the broader education system. Currently, this is the only course of its kind in Australia.

Students may study full time or part-time and the course begins in July and February.

Applications for the July intake are open now.
