PD - Draft Australian Curriculum: Technologies, Years 7 – 10

Intended Audience: Teachers of Years 7 – 10  Home Economics, ICT and Computing, Design and Technology, School Farms from all sectors

The Draft Australian Curriculum – Technologies will be unpacked and part of the day will be spent in subject based groupings so that teachers can engage with the Technologies 'contexts' and explore how the content and structure will impact on their practice.

Curriculum Services will be supported by ACARA's National Technologies Curriculum Advisory Writer and Professional Associations including:
  • Home Economics Institute of Australia (HEIA)
  • Design and Technology Teachers Association (DATTA)
  • Tasmanian Society for Information Technology in Education (TASITE)
  • Network of Education Association of Tasmania (NEAT)
Whilst the focus will be on secondary school Technologies, teachers of primary and senior secondary areas are also welcome. Travel and lunch is to be provided by participants.
