Gearing Up Expo - Workshops for Young People with Disability

Attention students with disability, their parents, teachers, support staff and specialist staff.
Showcasing education, employment and community options for people with disability in the northern region. Young people need to be prepared; they need to feel confident in themselves and with what the future holds beyond school. The workshops will assist young people to identify their strengths, better understand decision making and assist them to understand what having choice and control in their future will mean and look like.

With the launch of the National disability Insurance scheme on the 1st of July in Tasmania for young people with disability 15 to 24 years of age Individuals will be provided with a range of improved supports to help them move from school to further education, vocational training, employment, or to be more involved in their community.

Presenter: Robbi Williams has been invited to run a number of short workshops for young people with disability. Robbi is passionate about people living with disability fully participating in their lives and these workshop are guaranteed to make you think and to inspire.
