Free E-Waste Collection

Contact: Cradle Coast Waste Management GroupW:

Location: North West
Date: 11 and 12 May 2013

Intended Audience: All NW schools, colleges, worksites & homes

I’m just sending you a quick email to let you know about a FREE E-Waste collection (organised by the Cradle Coast Waste Management Group) that is going to be held at almost all waste transfer stations in North West Tasmania, on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of May.

What a great excuse to have a tidy up around your home and recycle your old junk, rather than putting it into landfill!

Bring along all your old TV’s, computers & computer equipment (keyboards, computer mice, cords) to dispose of it for FREE! To find out exactly what can and cannot be accepted please see the attached flyer [PDF 162KB] or visit the E-Waste Tasmania website. You will also find attached a poster for this event, you are more than welcome to print the poster [PDF 184KB] & erect, and hand out flyers if you know of anyone who might be interested.

All products collected at these events are manually dismantled or mechanically shredded. Materials are sorted into various product streams: metals, plastics, glass, cables, packaging, etc. Around 90% of end of life Television & Computer products can be recovered for future use through the recycling process.

Please do not hesitate to forward this message to everyone you know, so everyone can take advantage of this free event!

Thank you
