To continue the success of "Jazz Goes to School, on Thursday May 30, Burnie High School presents Duke Deconstructed played by a Hobart based sextet led by saxophonist Danny Healy.

The performance comprises a modern take on a selection of Duke Ellington's compositions, placing focus on improvisation, unconventional harmony and freedom in jazz.

Tickets are $20 per patron (with no concessions) and can be purchased from the school office on 6431 2744.

The concert will commence at 7.30pm in the school's Performing Arts Centre. There will be limited door sales on the night. Doors and bar will open at 6.45pm.
