Would you like to have a robotics workshops at your school? Robogals UTas can help. Robogals is a student volunteering based organization that promotes Engineering and Technology to young students primarily through LEGO Robotics workshops with the long term goal of increasing female participation in Engineering and Technology courses at a Tertiary level.

Robogals UTas is a Tasmanian wide chapter with volunteers from across the state.

We are able to bring robotics kits and laptops to your schools to run a robotics workshop. Our workshops are aimed for students ages 8 and up. A general workshop goes for 2 hours and includes a presentation on Engineering and Technology but we have also run very successful drop in sessions where students typically get a robot built and moving within 20 minutes. We can also arrange to have career talks/presentations from University Students and Engineering/Technology professionals. We can also provide mentoring to teams for events such as RoboCup.

We could also run a lunchtime/after school or a school holiday program if you were after something a little different. We also want to do a Road trip to King, Flinders, Cape Barren and Bruny Islands but we need assistance organizing them.

Feel free to contact Samantha on slc2@utas.edu.au if you have any questions/ideas or if you would like to book a robotics workshop.
